VIX50 ranking: PV GAS and 5 oil and gas companies in the Top 50 prestigious and effective public companies of 2023
Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) has just announced the VIX50 Ranking - Top 50 prestigious and effective public companies of 2023. Among them, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group has 6 units honored; Petrovietnam Fertilizers and Chemicals Joint Stock Company and Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation ranked in the Top20.
This was the result of an objective, scientific and independent research of the Vietnam Report, which was officially published in domestic and foreign media. Top 50 prestigious and effective public companies ranking aims to honor public enterprises with reputation, effective and sustainable operation, contributing to Vietnam's economic development and promoting corporate brands to the domestic and international business community.
To make this list, Vietnam Report evaluated public companies including both listed and unlisted through 2 phases. Among them, the first phase selected qualified companies to rank according to 4 indexes: sales, profits, assets and market capitalization of at least VND 500 billion. Market capitalization was valued as of April 29, 2023.
The second phase ranked companies in the Top 50 based on 2 main groups of criteria. The first was based on the size, efficiency and business prospects of the enterprises. The second was based on their reputation valued by media. Moreover, Vietnam Report collaborated with groups of financial and economic experts to make additional assessments of growth potential; sustainable development level; management quality and position in the industry of each public company.
Six oil and gas companies are evaluated in "VIX50 - Top 50 prestigious and effective public companies of 2023" including: Petrovietnam Fertilizers and Chemicals Joint Stock Company, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation, Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, PetroVietnam Power Corporation- Joint Stock Company, PetroVietnam Power Nhon Trach 2 Joint Stock Company, PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation.
The announcement ceremony of Top 50 prestigious and effective public companies of 2022 is expected to be held in August 2023 in Hanoi.
