Security, safety and counter-terrorism at gas works of PV GAS are strengthened
At the office of Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant under Petrovietnam Gas Vungtau Processing Company (PV GAS VT), Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) and Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) met the Internal Security Department (A02), the Economic Security Department (A04), the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police on ensuring security, safety and counter-terrorism at gas works of PV GAS and Phu My Fertilizer Plant.
Speaking at the meeting, Do Duc Thai, Deputy Head of Safety, Health, and Environment Division at PV GAS, emphasized that, in recent years, PV GAS works were managed and operated by PV GAS VT and PetroVietnam Gas South East Transmission Company to ensure safety stably and complete all assigned targets. The first base to achieve that result is thanks to the work of absolutely ensuring security and safety for gas works. All gas works of PV GAS have developed a Plan of protection and assignment of the Board of Directors’ each member as well as the functional boards to carry out specific tasks. PV GAS has signed a coordination regulation with Police, Military and Border Guard Command of BR-VT Province in protecting gas works of PV GAS. Therefore, all gas works of PV GAS are always guaranteed security, safety and counter-terrorism.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Yen Ly - Deputy Head of Division 8 under Internal Security Department- highly appreciated the security, safety and counter-terrorism at the units. The representative of the Ministry of Public Security also especially noted that security and safety protection ensured the continuous operation of gas supply chains, contributing to maintaining national energy and food security; rehearsals of plans on insecurity and counter-terrorism should be periodically organized to improve readiness in insecurity situations...
Summing up the meeting, Deputy Head of the Legal and Inspection Division at Petrovietnam Vu Khanh Dong highly appreciated the preparation of a detailed report, which fully demonstrates all aspects of security, safety and prevention of counter-terrorism at PV GAS. He also emphasized that Petrovietnam always focused on ensuring security and safety for oil and gas works; especially, Petrovietnam has received great support and coordination from the Ministry of Public Security and police in BR-VT Province. The Department of Inspection and Legal Affairs received all comments and suggestions from the Internal Security Department, Economic Security Department, Ministry of Public Security, BR-VT Provincial Police, PV GAS proposals to report to the Group for studying, giving direction and carrying out plans to absolutely ensure security and safety for gas works of PV GAS and relevant units.
