Secretary of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of People’s Committee meets PV GAS leaders
At the office of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province Party Committee, its senior leaders and ones of the provincial People's Committee on January 8 met the leaders of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) to support and resolve difficulties for the latter in the implementation process of projects in the province.
Comrade Pham Viet Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Van Tho - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments attended the meeting.
Comrade Duong Manh Son, Secretary of Party Committee and the Corporation’s General Director, led the delegation.
According to the report presented at the meeting, PV GAS was and is very actively contributing to the province’s budget with the total tax of VND51.5 trillion since its establishment in 1990, accounting for nearly 69 per cent of the total tax to the State budget. The tax in 2021 will increase by VND150 billion per year when the NCS2 project’s adjusted phase 2 will be put into operation and VND800 billion when Thi Vai 1 million- ton LNG warehouse project will be put into operation in the coming years. Besides great contributions to the province's socio-economic development, PV GAS is also recognized as a unit carrying out active and effective social welfare programmes with an annual contribution of nearly VND3-10 billion.
Through the meeting, Comrade Duong Manh Son - General Director of PV GAS proposed the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to continue supporting, facilitating and resolving difficulties and problems in the implementation process of projects in the province; and have policies to streamline investment procedures for PV GAS.
Recognizing the great contributions of PV GAS during its establishment since 1990, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, Comrade Pham Viet Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed gratitude for its companionship with the province during past time and affirmed that the province always accompanies and assists PV GAS in expanding production and business in the province.
At the same time, Comrade Nguyen Van Tho - Comrade Nguyen Van Tho - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee- also directly replied some petitions of PV GAS and affirmed that People’s Committee will instruct relevant agencies to check and resolve PV GAS’ remaining proposals as soon as possible within their authority as well as in accordance with legal provisions.
