PV GAS/PV GAS LPG cooperates with Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum and Sustainable Energy and Hagio Company to improve a capacity for LPG distribution system

Deputy General Director Pham Van Phong, representative of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) on February 15 met the delegation of the Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum and Sustainable Energy (JCCP) and Japan’s Hagio Company at the PV GAS headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.


At the meeting, PV GAS Deputy General Director Pham Van Phong shared information about its business and development orientation and suggested that JCCP/Hagio Company continued to cooperate closely with PV GAS /PV GAS LPG to improve the capacity of LPG distribution system, to study, and to develop new areas where they want to cooperate.


Representatives of PV GAS Source and Market Development Division as well as Vietnam LPG Trading Joint Stock Company (PV GAS LPG)’s Southern Branch also met the delegation to summarize the current project on modernization of the LPG distribution sector in Vietnam and to develop cooperation and operation plans in 2023 and next years.


In 2019, PV GAS, PVGAS LPG and JCCP signed a joint research cooperation agreement on modernization of LPG distribution in Vietnam (Project). Nearly three years after the implementation, despite negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Project has achieved some remarkable results. The project has contributed to supporting PV GAS/PV GAS LPG to improve management capacity, to optimize the delivery and receipt of LPG cylinders, to save costs for paint, repair, transportation, control and efficiency improvement of LPG cylinders life cycle, limiting gas loss during delivery, optimizing structure and controlling personnel...


The two sides also agreed on a number of contents to prepare for the implementation of another project to improve the management capacity of the LPG cylinder distribution system by barcode, which is widely adopted in Japan.


During the meetings, the Japanese delegation worked with PV GAS LPG at the latter’s headquarters in Hanoi and went to the infrastructure related to LPG distribution in the Northern region. PV GAS/PV GAS LPG and the Japanese delegation agreed to launch a new research project of construction on an LPG cylinders manufacturing plant to meet the market’s increasing demands.
