PV GAS Youth Union successfully organizes the 7th Congress in the 2022 – 2027 tenure
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) on April 28 solemnly organized its 7th Congress in the 2022-2027 tenure.
At the Congress, comrade Nguyen Cong Luan - Secretary of PV GAS Youth Union in the 2017 - 2022 tenure reported the union’s activities in that time and the operation orientations in the 2022-2027 tenure.
During the last tenure, the Youth Union’s works and youth movements achieved many successes and the set goals, always holding the leading position in the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s Youth activities and movements. Thereby, PV GAS Youth Union’s works and youth movements were recognized, appreciated and rewarded by leaders at all levels for their achievements, such as: Emulation Flag of Excellent Unit/Certificate of Merit by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (in 2018, 2019); Certificate of Merit by the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union of National-level State-owned Enterprises' Bloc. (in 2020); always ranked as Strong/Excellent (2017 – 2021) Union by the Group and proposed to be awarded the Emulation Flag by the Central Committee;…
With the number of the union’s members accounting for one-third of the total number of employees at PV GAS, they are the core force, contributing to PV GAS production and business. Prominent in the innovation movement in the 2017 – 2022 period, PV GAS Youth Union effectively carried out 324 "youth’s works", including 55 ones of the bloc-leveled Youth Union, 114 ones of the Group –leveled counterpart, and 155 others of the grassroots- leveled ones. PV GAS Youth Union was presented 22 "Young Innovation" prizes, and four "National Excellent Young Worker" awards. Since then, PV GAS Youth Union made practical contributions, bringing benefit value worth nearly VND359 billion. In the 2017 – 2022 period, the voluntary activities, social welfares, love for borders and islands programmes were regularly organized by PV GAS Youth Union in the co-operation with the grassroots-leveled counterparts with a total amount of more than VND 5.9 billion.
In the next 2022 – 2027 term, with the action slogan of "Aspiration - Pioneering - Solidarity - Professionalism - Innovation", PV GAS Youth Union set goals for its work and youth movement in the new term with the main tasks and targets such as: Promoting its emulation movements which will contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution issued from the 10th Party Congress of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation; Building the strong PV GAS Youth Union which will operate effectively and attractively, promoting the initiatives and the volunteerism of a large number of its members, and attracting them to join its programmes; Developing young people with bravery, intelligence, and qualifications, who know to seize opportunities and master themselves, and those who are the pioneer force in learning, building corporate culture, working creatively, mastering the modern science and technology, actively contributing to PV GAS sustainable development; Continuing to maintain its position as the leader in the youth unions at the Group and National-level State-owned Enterprises' Bloc.
Instructing and orientating activities for PV GAS Youth, comrade Duong Manh Son - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors at PV GAS and comrade Vu Thi Thu Huong - Secretary of the Youth Union at Petrovietnam congratulated and affirmed the excellent results that PV GAS Youth Union has strived to accomplish in the last term. The leaders reminded PV GAS Youth to be aware of the Youth Union’s role as the Party Committee’s right-hand men and the successor team. Especially, it is necessary to creatively apply three breakthrough development directions that PV GAS promotes, including the most important human resource development solution; Since then, the Youth Union has always been conscious of speeding up training and retraining its cadres and successors; building young people force with capability, aspiration and enthusiasm, who takes advantage of their high professional qualifications and conditions for going global under the strong support from the PV GAS Party Committee, the Board of Directors and collective. In the next term, PV GAS Youth Union will continue to stand in the vanguard of the Group's Youth; to be more active, to take initiatives in the further implementation of significant works at larger scale.
At the Congress, Youth delegates elected the Executive Committee of PV GAS Youth Union in the 2022-2027 tenure, including 21 comrades; while directly voting the union’s Secretary at the Congress. Comrade Le Hoai Bac was voted to hold this position. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the one of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in the 2022 – 2027 tenure, including 7 official delegates and 2 alternate ones.
On this occasion, the Group's Youth Union granted certificates of merit to 3 collectives (the unions of PV GAS, PV GAS CAMAU, PV GAS VT) and 3 outstanding individuals for PV GAS Youth Union’s works and youth movements in the 2017- 2022 tenure.
