PV GAS donates VND5 billion to build semi-boarding facility at Phieng Pan-Son La School

In the whole country’s preparation to welcome a new spring, on December 30, 2020, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) cooperated with Authority and People of Son La Province’s Mai Son District to organize a ceremony to hand over and put semi-boarding facility into use at Phieng Pan Ethnic Minorities Semi-boarding Primary and Secondary School in Mai Son District in the northwestern province of Son La.

The work’s total capital is nearly VND7.3 billion, including VND5 billion donated by PV GAS. It is the four-storey building with 22 spacious rooms with sufficiently essential equipment to serve daily needs of students and teachers at the school. 

The new work creates the best living and learning conditions for students in extremely difficult areas, thereby contributing to consolidating technical and economic infrastructure system and social welfare in the province’s mountainous area.

Speaking at the opening and handover ceremony of the sponsored work, comrade Vu Tien Dinh - Chairman of Mai Son District People's Committee- on behalf of the local authority and people, expressed his gratitude and respectfully thanked PV GAS 'prompt support and attention. He believes that this sponsorship has contributed importantly to education sector of Northwestern region which is poor but rich of traditional fondness for learning.
