PV GAS and AES Corporation announced the personnel decisions for Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd
An announcement ceremony for the election decision of President and Vice President; the appointment of Director, Deputy Director, and Chief Accountant for Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd was organized on April 27 in Ha Noi.
The representatives of AES Corporation (the U.S.) to attend the ceremony were Mr. Bernerd Da Santos- its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Mr. Joseph Uddo – its Vice President of Market Development; and Mr. Mark Green – AES Eurasia President.
For Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), Mr. Duong Manh Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Huynh Quang Hai - Deputy General Director at the Corporation were the representatives.
At the Announcement Decision Ceremony, the two sides congratulated their representatives who were appointed to hold key positions at the Company. Specifically, Mr Huynh Quang Hai - Deputy General Director at PV GAS was elected to hold the position as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd; Mr. Le Duc Hieu with the position as Member of the Board of Directors cum Director; Mr. Dang Dinh Thang with the position as Member of the Board of Directors cum Deputy Director of Commerce; Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Ha with the position as Chief Accountant at the Company.
On behalf of AES representatives, Mr. Bernerd Da Santos was elected to hold the position as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mark Green as Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. James Meffen as Vice President of Finance and Mr. Adewale Aina with the position as Deputy Director of Engineering.
The election and appointment of senior personnels of Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd is among the efforts of PV GAS and AES Group in accelerating the cooperative progress and put Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd. into operation.
Son My LNG Terminal Project is part of a chain of LNG power projects in Binh Thuan Province, with an estimated total investment of $1.31 billion and a terminal capacity of 3.6 million tons/year (for the first phase and up to 6 million tons in the next phase). The terminal will receive, process and supply reprocessed LNG as fuel for two Son My power plants No.1 and 2, expected to be put into operation from 2026.
After the announcement ceremony of high-level personnel decisions for Son My LNG Terminal Co., Ltd., PV GAS and AES Corporation had a high-level meeting on the implementation plan of the Son My LNG Terminal project and others in the future.
