Announcement ceremony and decision on high-level candres of PV GAS

Based on Decision No. 641-QD/DU and Decision No. 642-QD/DU dated June 2, 2023 by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam or PVN) regarding personnel work of the Party Secretary and Deputy Party Secretary of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) for the 2020-2025 term and Decision No. 2805/QD-HDTV dated April 26, 2023 of the Board of Directors (BOD) of PVN on authorizing the management of capital contribution of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to PV GAS, along with the approval of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Group, on June 15, 2023, the Party Committee of PV GAS held an announcement ceremony focusing on their decisions on high-level candres.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of PVN, there were Mr. Le Manh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members and General Director, Mr. Tran Binh Minh - Member of the Board of Members, Mr. Le Xuan Huyen - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Director, Mr. Do Chi Thanh - Deputy General Director, Mr. Phan Anh Minh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee and Head of Organization and Human Resource Division, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Head of Communication and Corporate Culture Division and other comrades representing advisory and professional committees of the Group’s Party Committee.

On PV GAS’s side, there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Pham Van Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director, other comrades from the Standing Committee, the Board of Directors, the Board of Controllers, the Board of Management, representatives of Trade Union and Youth Union, Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of subordinate Party Committees, heads of Operational Divisions and representatives of PV GAS’s owner and subsidiary units.

At the ceremony, PV GAS’s directors and employees received warm appreciation conveyed by Mr. Le Manh Hung as a testament to their efforts to always establish a well-trained organization of reliable and innovative leaders and thereby build up PV GAS as a pivotal unit of PVN, followed by the announcement of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh and Mr. Pham Van Phong’s positions as Secretary and Deputy Secretary of PV GAS’s Party Committee.

Expressing strong belief in PV GAS’s future led by Mr. Binh and Mr. Phong, Mr. Hung emphasized: “I really hope for the two leaders will continue to work with modesty and energetic pursuits for the future of PV GAS in order for all employees to respect, believe and keep moving forward together.  And to the employees of PV GAS, continue to be consistent with your trust in the two highest leaders of PV GAS as they have shown in the process of implementing personnel work the ability to help PV GAS unify one goal and one burning desire of heading to a new stage of business development in accordance with today world’s environmental changes, strengthen its value in the ecosystem of PVN, and serve the development goals of the Group and our country while optimizing the Group’s resources”.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, on receipt of Mr. Hung’s faith, confidently stated: “On the basis that PV GAS’s legacy is inherited and promoted as well as all upcoming difficulties intertwined with advantages are noticed, as a Secretary of the Party Committee of the Corporation, I promise to carry out the assigned tasks with a high determination, and great effort, raise the awareness of political responsibilities with pioneering spirit, and be a role model as the head of the Party Committee”. He is determined to together with the Party Committee and its Standing Committee and the Board of Directors focus on resolutely and effectively leading, guiding and supervising PV GAS’s personnel, production and business activities and political and social works with the goal of  “Building a transparent and strong PV GAS Party Committee, which promotes innovations and professionalism, developes a strong, efficient, highly competitive corporation that operates comprehensively in all stages of collection, transportation, processing, import-export, storage, service and participating in upstream investment activities, leading the development of Vietnam’s gas industry and contributing to ensuring national energy security and international integration”. 

In his speech on accepting the new role, Mr. Pham Van Phong committed to comply with the guidance of the Group in terms of all management activities and inherit, preserve and promote the traditional strength of PV GAS to assist the company with achieving new records. He also guaranteed to selectively keep up with today’s development trends to increase the brand value of PV GAS in the international market. Mr. Phong believed that with the capability of the leadership team and employees, PV GAS will definitely achieve promising results as the token of their gratitude for the past successes. The General Director called on each member PV GAS to make more effort, be more aware of their responsibilities and continue to strive tirelessly to help implement PV GAS’s Development Strategy with a mission for Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s sustainable and strong development.
