Gas gathering
PV Gas conducts gas gathering on a national scale and is gradually involved in international gas gathering and purchasing projects through its affiliated companies and subsidiaries.
PVGAS-SE is responsible for operating a gas pipeline system from oil and gas fields in Cuu Long Basin and receiving gas from Nam Con Son gas system to distribute to consumers, such as power plants in Ba Ria, Phu My (Ba Ria-Vung Tau), Nhon Trach (Dong Nai), Hiep Phuoc (Ho Chi Minh City), Phu My Fertilizer Plant and factories in Industrial Zones of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.
PVGAS-CM is operating a gas pipeline system from Block PM3 CAA and 46 Cai Nuoc in the Overlapping area, providing gas for power plants and Ca Mau fertilizer plant in the South-West.
PV Gas is intensively coordinating with relevant parties (PVN, PVEP, VSP...) to complete and put into operation gas gathering projects to increase capacity of gas gathering and transport fluid and gas to the shore such as Gas gathering from Su Tu Trang, Hai Su Trang – Hai Su Den in 2012; Hoa Mai field in 2013; Dai Hung field, Blocks 01 &02, gas pipeline Block B-O Mon in 2014 ...
Currently, the overall development plan (ODP) of Thang Long - Dong Do gas fields, Blocks 01/97 and 02/97 of Cuu Long Basin operated by the Lam Son JOC (Joint Operating Company) has been approved by PVN. It is expected that these blocks will be exploited during the period from the third quarter of 2013 to 2026. The total gas production is forecasted to be transported onshore about 476 million cubic meters.
PVN also has just approved a policy on assigning construction investment project "Gas gathering and distribution system of Ham Rong and Thai Binh fields- blocks 102 and 106" to PV Gas. This is an important project for PV Gas, opening up the gas gathering and development of the gas market to deliver gas to consumers in the North.
Under the direction of PVN, after researching, surveying and preliminarily assessing the need and feasibility of the gas industry development in Quang Tri province, in accordance with the development strategy of gas industry to 2015 and vision to the year 2025 approved by the Prime Minister in early 2011, PV Gas is proposing an authorization to carry out the planning of contruction investment project of gas gathering system from Bao Vang and Bao Den fields of blocks 113 and 112 of Song Hong Basin, shipping, processing and distributing gas to power plants and other industrial consumers in Quang Tri and nearby areas.
