Condensate
Condensate is a mixture of liquid hydrocarbons separated from associated gas fields or natural gas fields. The composition of condensate mainly consists of paraffin, including pentane and heavier hydrocarbons (C5+). Its density is about 562 to 780 kg/m3 at 15oC (50-120 oAPI).
Application
Condensate is mainly used to produce gasoline, kerosene (KO), diesel (DO), fuel oil (FO), industrial solvents and also used as a feedstock for petrochemical complexes to produce olefins, BTX, etc.
Situation of condensate consumption and production in Vietnam

Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant- produce 200 000 ton of condensate per year |
Phu My Condensate Processing Plant- process 130 000 ton of condensate per year
|
PetroVietnam Gas Corporation is producing nearly 250,000 tons of condensate every year from Cuu Long and Nam Con Son gas sources at two Gas Processing Plants (Dinh Co GPP and Nam Con Son gas processing terminal). The condensate was transported into a pipeline to Thi Vai terminal for storage and distribution to customers.
The total amount of condensate is used as raw material to distil and produce fuels such as gasoline, DO, FO. Currently, there are four condensate processing plants in Vietnam:
o Phu My Condensate Processing Plant that belongs to PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil) with capacity of 130,000 tons per year.
o Cat Lai Condensate processing Plant that belongs to Saigon Petro with capacity of 350,000 tons per year.
o Nam Viet Condensate Processing Plant that belongs to Nam Viet Refinery JSC with capacity of 120,000 tons per year.
o Dong Phuong Condensate Processing Plant that belongs to Dong Phuong Petroleum JSC with capacity of 100,000 tons per year
