Trade Union’s Division for Female Workers’ Affairs to respond to a week-long event titled “Ao dai-Vietnamese cultural heritage”

“Ao dai-Vietnamese cultural heritage” is the theme of a national event held by the Viet Nam Central Women’s Union and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to celebrate International Women’s Day falling on March 8.

To respond to the requirement of Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam)’s Trade Union, the Division for Female Workers’ Affairs of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS)’s the counterpart has launched Ao dai Viet Nam Day.

The division has communicated and encouraged female workers of PV GAS to wear Ao dai from March 2-8 and October 12-20. All they especially had to wear Ao dai on March 6.

Because of COVID-19 prevention and control, activities to celebrate International Women’s Day are cancelled. Wearing Ao dai was regarded as one activity to replace the ceremony to celebrate International Women’s Day in order to bring joys for female workers.

In most of the units at PV GAS, leaders and trade unions have presented gifts for female workers and had a short meeting with the latter. PV GAS’s staff have been instructed to wear masks and carry out preventive measures against COVID-19 in the meeting.
