Trade Union branch congress was completed at divisions of PV Gas Trade Union

Pursuant to the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union, organization plan of Trade Union Congresses at all levels, and in order to implement the instructions from Executive Committee of PV Gas Trade Union, all 19 affiliated Unions divisions have completed organizing Trade Union Branch Congress in August 2012 with good results. Previously, Trade Union departments and groups belonging to the affiliated Union divisions also held the Congress in July 2012.                                           

The Trade Union Branch Congresses have fulfilled all the assigned tasks: summarizing the Congress tenure, discussing the reports and outline of duties of their own Unions in the next tenure; commenting on relevant contents in the draft report of the Trade Union Congress of PV Gas and PVN; and electing the Executive Committee in the new tenure and appointing delegates to attend the Trade Union Congress of PV Gas.
With the motto: “Democracy, solidarity, innovation, practicality”, the Trade Union Congress is considered as a favorable opportunity for Trade Union members to discuss and seek solutions for issues at work, in life and other rights relating to the members and employees at the divisions. This is also the major political activity to raise the awareness of Trade Union members towards the roles, functions and tasks of Trade Union organizations; to decide the direction and duties of the Trade Union as well as to recommend appropriate operating methods consistent to the actual operation at the divisions. The new elected Executive Committee must ensure the inheritance and development following the same orientation of rejuvenating, lowering the average age, and increasing the number of female members in the Executive Committee. Representatives from the Trade Union Divisions are all capable, qualified, representing the wisdom of the collective members and able to successfully implement the Resolution of Trade Union Congress in the next tenure.
All the participants have accurately evaluated the current status of the Union’s organizing and operating activities as well as the strengths and weakness existing in the last tenure, withdrawn the experience from the success in the Trade Union’s organization and operation, set out the direction, solutions and targets for the next tenure. The guidance and support role of PV Gas Trade Union is deeply marked in every Congress. Mr. Tran Van Tam – Chairman of PV Gas Trade Union and other Executive Committee members of the Union have all attended the meetings, showing their responsibilities to instruct and settle current issues in affiliated Unions and contribute to the general success of PV Gas’s Trade Union Congress.
The Trade Union Congress of PV Gas is scheduled to be held in October, 2012.
