The new era of energy: PV GAS begins supplying LNG for industrials
On March 15, 2024, PV GAS officially commenced supplying LNG for industrial customers with the first fleets of LNG trailers, originating from Thi Vai LNG truckloading station (Vung Tau) to PV GAS CNG’s LNG satellite station in Thuan Dao (Long An). This marks a significant milestone, heralding the introduction of PV GAS' Optimal Energy Solutions Package, integrating the LPG/CNG/LNG business model, offering customers with diverse, flexible and stable product choices at competitive prices.
Loading LNG into specialized tanker trailers
As a subsidiary unit of PV GAS, CNG Viet Nam JSC (PV GAS CNG) is a leading provider of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), holding over 70% market share and possessing a complete transportation and distribution infrastructure nationwide. With 16 years of development, PV GAS CNG has significantly distributed its offerings to more than 200 leading domestic enterprises such as Hoa Phat, Ton Dong A, Vinamilk and Viglacera, ensuring economic efficiency and environmental friendliness.
The first LNG fleets from Thi Vai safely arrived at PV GAS CNG’s LNG satellite station in Thuan Dao, Long An (total capacity: 100 m3). Following this, PV GAS CNG would supply LNG to its existing customers currently using CNG such as Oechsler Motion, Nam Hung Steel, Petfood Evolution, Asia Steel, etc.

The use of LNG, with its outstanding advantages in terms of energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, convenience in transportation, and a secure supply source as promised by PV GAS is a way for businesses to demonstrate their responsibility to contribute to the development of the country’s environmental, social and economic sustainability.

In the coming time, PV GAS will commence the second phase of Thi Vai LNG Terminal with a capacity increase to 3 MMTPA, scheduled to operate by 2026; initiate the development of Son My LNG Terminal project in Binh Thuan with a total capacity of 6 MMTPA, and implement LNG terminal investment projects in Northern and Central-Northern Vietnam. Additionally, The Corporation will establish agreements with LNG giants worldwide to ensure stable and competitive supply for the domestic market.
