PVID celebrates 5th anniversary
On 31/8/2012, PetroVietnam Gas Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (PVID) officially celebrated its 5th anniversary date (31/8/2007 – 31/8/2012).
In the memorial speech, Mr. Tran Duc Minh – PVID's Director has reviewed the 5 year history of establishment and development of PVID. PetroVietnam Gas Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (PVID) is a member company of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation, with young age in operation. Yet, the first and unique Pipe coating factory project in Vietnam of PVID has honorably become one of 10 key projects of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group and been attached to the sign "Works in celebration of the 11th National Communist Party Congress" by the Party Committee of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. PVID has also been awarded with Quality Management System Certificate of ISO 9001:2008 for Pipe Coating Factory by DNV, the inspection and certification organization. This is one of the factors contributing to improvement of customer confidence and seeking of new business opportunities, especially in international bidding in the field of petroleum pipe coating service.
Over recent years, leadership and employees of PVID have demonstrated best effort to fulfill assigned duties. From a company threatened with dissolution risk, now PVID has firmly developed to assumed different duties. The Company has completed 14 pipe coating projects in the petroleum industry both domestic and regional, such as: Hai Su Trang, Te Giac Trang, Su Tu Trang, projects of Vietsovpetro, Hai Su Trang – Hai Su Den, Carbon Steel and Cladpipe - Stage 1 / Bien Dong 1, etc. Besides, PVID has also carried out specialized EPC construction contracts in the gas industry, such as: Gas supply line for Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant and Nhon Trach 2 Power Plant; low pressurized gas distribution systems for Nhon Trach IP (Dong Nai) and Hiep Phuoc IP (HCMC). In the course of project performance, PVID has always strictly ensured compliance with schedule as requested by investors; absolute safety for human and machinery, equipment. If in 2009, the Company achieved only VND 53.67 billion in revenues, then in 2010 and 2011, the Company recorded an outstanding growth with VND 312.00 billion and VND 757.00 billion respectively. Life and employment conditions of laborers have become stable; employee income has constantly been improved. Besides, the Company's personnel have always actively responded to and engaged in social welfare work launched by PetroVietnam and PV Gas.
With outstanding achievements, leaders and employees of the Company have honorably won many valuable rewards such as: Merit Certificate of the Prime Minister, Merit Certificate of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Merit Certificate of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, etc.
At the ceremony, on behalf of PV Gas leaders, CEO Do Khang Ninh has warmly praised and congratulated on PVID's achievements worth much encouragement in the past, especially business performance results, development norms and investment in diversifying pipe coating products from 2 types to 5 types according to international standards. CEO Do Khang Ninh also instructed that in the future, PVID should intensify its marketing activities for pipe coating services to international markets, creating stable jobs for employees, contributing to construction and sustainable development of the Company.
In recognition of contributions and efforts of PVID's personnel over the last 5 years, CEO Do Khang Ninh has awarded the Merit Certificate of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation to PVID employees for outstanding achievements in production and business tasks in the period of 2007 – 2012.
In celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Company, to facilitate in relation exchange, consolidation of solidarity spirit, on 04/8/2012, PVID has organized the festival to celebrate the Company's 5th anniversary. Over 100 officials, employees of PVID have joined in badmington and mini-football games.
