PV GAS/PV GAS LPG and Japanese partners summarize the initial phase of collaboration project
Based on the Cooperation Agreement on "Improving the management of LPG cylinders distribution in Vietnam by barcode" signed on August 8, 2023, between Pretrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), Petrovietnam LPG JSC (PV GAS LPG), and Japan Cooperation Center Petroleum (JCCP), the parties involved conducted a field inspection and held a review meeting to conclude the initial phase of the project from January 16 to 18, 2024.

According to the agreement, the project would be implemented over a period of 03 years with multiple phases. The initial one included surveying, barcode equipment and software installment, as well as customer and cylinder database creation. Phu Tho LPG Filling Station under PV GAS LPG was selected as the pilot station.
On January 16, 2024, the working delegation from PV GAS/PV GAS LPG and Hagio Company, along with other Japanese companies such as Energy Solutions and Kubota, authorized by JCCP, conducted a field visit at Phu Tho LPG Filling Station. Overall, the first phase had been implemented on schedule with all quality requirements met.

At the review meeting at PV GAS LPG headquarters, Mr. Pham Tien Manh, Deputy General Manager, presented the difficulties encountered during the period in the target market of two provinces, Hoa Binh and Phu Tho. Some market characteristics, consumption habits, and the current state of LPG cylinder distribution management, etc., which affected the project's progress, were also shared.
The participants actively discussed and proposed technical and commercial solutions to enhance overall efficiency. Mr. Tran Anh Khoa, Deputy Manager of PV GAS’ Business Development Division, on behalf of the Corporation, expressed gratitude for the support of JCCP/Hagio. The project was established to help PV GAS/PV GAS LPG meet the ever-growing requirements of the LPG market while optimizing their resources and thereby improve the general production and business efficiency.
