PV GAS welcomes and works with Essar Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Limited
On April 8, at PV GAS tower, the delegation of Essar Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Limited (Essar E&P) led by Mr. Pankaj Kalra - General Director visited and worked with Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS).
The meeting was attended by PV GAS representatives including Mr. Hoang Van Quang - General Director, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy General Director.
Essar E&P is headquartered at Essar House, Mumbai, India. As one of the largest exploration and production companies in India, Essar E&P almost focuses on unconventional oil and gas, with the natural gas reserves of 15 trillion cubic feet, strategically located in major sedimentary basins across the country.
In Vietnam, Essar E&P holds 45% participation interest in the exploration well located at Block 114, with Eni Vietnam B.V.’s holding the balance 55%. The Ken Bau field of Block 114 located in Song Hong Basin, Offshore Vietnam, 65 km from the nearest mainland in Quang Tri Province, is considered a historical discovery of Vietnam's oil and gas industry.
On behalf of PV GAS, General Director Hoang Van Quang welcomed Mr. Pankaj Kalra and his associates to visit and work with the aim of exploring the possibility for their cooperation in the oil and gas field. The two sides exchanged, discussed and learned about their activities in gas and LNG-related services. In the meeting, PV GAS emphasized the possibility for the cooperation with Essar E&P in the transportation field by using LNG/CNG as fuel for public transport and heavy loads vehicles in Vietnam. Mr. Pankaj Kalra pledged to share his experiences and efforts to support PV GAS in all cooperative activities between them.
At the end of the meeting, both PV GAS and Essar E&P agreed to quickly promote their cooperation. On behalf of PV GAS, General Director Hoang Van Quang once again welcomed Essar E&P for visiting and working with the Corporation, expressing his belief that they will soon create good cooperative opportunities in the future and affirming that it will also make efforts to support and create the best conditions for Essar E&P's activities in Vietnam.
