PV GAS surpasses Vinhomes to become the 3rd most valuable company

The market capitalization of this real estate giant Vinhomes was behind Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) - HOSE: GAS for the first time since it listed on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in May 2018.

According to the compiled results at the end of October 2022, VHM stock of Vinhomes Joint Stock Company plunged to VND44, 600/share, equal to a market capitalization of VND194.2 trillion. Whereas, the closing price of GAS shares was the reference point, keeping the same market capitalization at VND205.2 trillion.

Thanks to surpassing VHM, GAS joined the top 3 stocks with the largest market capitalization in Vietnam's stock market, only after VCB of Vietcombank and VIC of Vingroup Joint Stock Company - the holding company of Vinhomes.

In the top 10 stocks with the largest market capitalization in Vietnam on October 25, only VCB was above the threshold of VND300 trillion, while at the beginning of this year there were three stocks in this club including VCB, VIC and VHM.
