PV GAS VUNG TAU Wins Championship at PV GAS Football Tournament 2025
The Labor Union of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) successfully organized the PV GAS Men's Football Tournament 2025 on March 22-23, 2025, in Vung Tau City. The team from PV GAS VUNG TAU excellently claimed the championship title.
Exciting Highlights from the PV GAS Football Tournament 2025 Finals
This year’s tournament featured eight teams, divided into two groups:
• Group A: PV GAS Executive Office, PV GAS DISTR, PV GAS CA MAU and PV GAS SE.
• Group B: PV GAS VUNG TAU, PV GAS TRADING, PV GAS SERVICES, and PV GAS CNG.
Teams in each group competed in a round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinals then faced off in the grand finale.
With passion, integrity, and fair play, the teams delivered thrilling matches, spectacular goals, and emotional moments, earning enthusiastic cheers and praise from the audience.
The four strongest teams advanced to the semifinals:
• PV GAS DISTR vs. PV GAS VUNG TAU
• PV GAS CA MAU vs. PV GAS CNG
With balanced lineups and smart tactics, PV GAS CA MAU defeated PV GAS CNG 2-0, while PV GAS VUNG TAU triumphed over PV GAS DISTR 7-2.
On the afternoon of March 23, 2025, the highly anticipated final between PV GAS CA MAU and PV GAS VUNG TAU took place. Thanks to a younger squad, effective tactics, and the brilliance of star player Thai Viet Hung, PV GAS VUNG TAU secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory, successfully defending their PV GAS football championship title.

At the closing ceremony, the organizers presented awards:
• Third Place: PV GAS DISTR & PV GAS CNG
• Second Place: PV GAS CA MAU
• Championship Cup: PV GAS VUNG TAU
Individual awards included:
• Best Goalkeeper: Luong Thanh Duy Khanh (PV GAS CA MAU)
• Top Scorer: Thai Viet Hung (PV GAS VUNG TAU) with a record of 10 goals.
Though the tournament lasted just two short weekend days, it brought joy, fierce competition, and some regrets over missed opportunities. Above all, it maintained a healthy, professional sportsmanship spirit and showcased the determination and teamwork of PV GAS employees.
