PV GAS Trade Union actively launches "Petroleum Spring 2022" virtual race
To encourage cadres and employees of the Oil and Gas Industry to actively respond to the campaign of "All people doing exercises as the great Uncle Ho did", the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s Trade Union has launched virtual race entitled "Petroleum Spring 2022". Responding to the union’s movement, the Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has actively launched the race to each trade union at all levels, calling on their members and employees at the Corporation to join.
To celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and the country’s Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2022) and the 136th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2022); the 132th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022), the virtual race themed "Petroleum Spring 2022" is a key activity as a part of the union’s program in 2022. At the same time, this is also a joyful collective activity, aiming to promote the movement of cadres, union members and employees to actively do physical exercises and play sports for improving health, adapt safely and flexibly, effectively prevent the Covid-19 pandemic in the new situation.
Before the Lunar New Year, PV GAS team joined the virtual race organized by the Trade Union of Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Service Corporation (PV Drilling). As a result, it won the first prize in the whole group. Along with jogging movement enhanced to organize in PV GAS, athletes from PV GAS Trade Union are very excited and will actively join the "Petroleum Spring 2022” virtual race, contributing to creating atmosphere for it, promoting sports movement, doing exercises in the whole industry, building a strong, energetic, ready, and pioneering working collective.
The technological application is first used by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Union in the race. Athletes register to join via the race’s website, then install the kilometer counting application on smart mobile devices and connect to the race’s register personal account. When running, the results of each athlete will be recorded on the application and synchronized on the race’s website. They will be continuously updated and accumulated until the race ends.
The race’s participants were all employees at the member units of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. The race is expected to last 10 days in April 2022, divided into two groups: female and male athletes running 50 and 70 km respectively.
