PV GAS donates VND12 billion to build schools in Kon Tum Province
Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has co-operated with Authority and People of Kon Plong District in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum to organize a ceremony to put kindergarten and Mang Den Secondary School into use at the district’s Dak Long Commune.
The works’ total capital is VND12 billion donated by PV GAS. The Mang Den Kindergarten is a two-storey building with eight rooms, one kitchen and other auxiliary facilities, serving nearly 280 students. Mang Den Secondary School has two buildings with two storeys including six rooms, meeting nearly 420 students’ studying demand. All the works are sufficiently equipped for students and teachers.
At the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi- PV GAS Deputy General Director- on behalf of PV GAS leaders- delivered speeches, affirming that the works once again proved the spirit of synergies and effective support from the social welfare programmes of oil and gas industry, including PV GAS, for the Kon Tum Province’s people as well as ones in other localities facing many difficulties in the country, thereby sponsoring them have more new works for common benefits of the community.
Hoang Ngoc Dang, the Mang Den Secondary School’s principal, on behalf of teachers and students of the school and kindergarten, was really touched by PV GAS’ donation for the severely difficult and remote locality like Kon Plong District. The two new spacious schools timely met the infrastructure demand of local education sector.
Teachers, students, people and authorities of Kon Plong District pledges to preserve and use these works effectively to train many future generations for the country.
