PV GAS’ President & CEO chaired meeting with CNG Viet Nam
Recently, Mr. Pham Van Phong – PV GAS President & CEO, chaired a working session between the leadership of PV GAS and CNG Viet Nam to discuss the unit’s performance in the first 9 months of 2023, as well as the directions for the remaining three.

As of September 2023, CNG Viet Nam has 278 full-time employees with an average age of 40.5. Those university degrees or higher account for 53% of the total workforce, meeting the requirements for expertise by PV GAS/the company.
CNG Vietnam reported on the unit's performance.
Over the first 9 months of 2023, CNG Viet Nam has implemented plans with great effort in unfavorable market conditions, resulting in the following achievements:
• Security and safety in production and business operations were ensured;
• CNG consumption reached 185.9 million Sm3, 87% of the 9-month plan;
• Revenue hit VND 2,374.3B, 93% of the 9-month plan;
• 7 more plants were added to the client list;
• 5 additional gas supply contracts were concluded;
• LNG business in Vietnam had been conducted, especially in the Northern market;
• and so on.
CNG Vietnam also reported to the President & CEO of PV GAS the challenges the company had been facing in an increasingly competitive business environment with the declining supply. Additionally, they proposed some recommendations to PV GAS leadership to expand their business operations.
In conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Phong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results and efforts of CNG Viet Nam in the first 9 months of 2023. He suggested that CNG Vietnam continue resolutely, seriously, and promptly implement measures to promote production, ensure the economic efficiency of the enterprise, and fulfill the tasks for the remaining months.

In other words, PV GAS leadership requested CNG Viet Nam to intensify its products’ consumption and strive to achieve the entire annual plan for 2023 as assigned by the Corporation. In addition, CNG Viet Nam should review its business model and sales policies to adapt to the new situation, ensuring stable and long-term development.
Mr. Pham Van Phong also directed the relevant divisions/units to enhance coordination and support for CNG Viet Nam in addressing existing issues, particularly focusing on securing a stable gas supply source and design a product competitiveness strategy to assist the company in fulfilling its tasks.
