PV GAS President and CEO welcomes US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City
On February 25, PV GAS’ President and CEO, Dr. Pham Van Phong welcomed US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City – Ms. Susan Burns and her delegation at the Corporation’s head quarter.
In this very special meeting, on PV GAS side, were also PV GAS Vice President Huynh Quang Hai and representatives from relevant divisions.
This working session focused on the exchange of information of both sides’ interests, as well as cooperation opportunities between the Corporation and potential partners from the United States.

PV GAS’ 35-year history of development was introduced, followed by the discussion on the Corporation’s ongoing and potential projects that aimed at making 2025 the “Year of Market Development" for PV GAS.
In addition, the Corporation reported on issues in LNG business development in Vietnam and expressed their great hope for the cooperation with the US enterprises in this field. It was also proposed that the US government and partners suggest LNG commercial terms/conditions suitable for the Vietnamese market.

Ms. Susan Burns, on behalf of US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, shared that they would support PV GAS to address difficulties and connect the Corporation with US partners, as well as committed to creating favourable conditions for PV GAS to cooperate with the US enterprises.
The meeting let each party share their insights and openly discuss PV GAS’ advantages as well as obstacles in the implementation of Son My LNG Terminal Project, the process of realizing potential cooperation with the US partners, and so on.

Concluding the session, both parties showed their willingness to seek cooperation opportunities for the coming time, including the development of other projects besides LNG and affirmed their determination to tackle all the issues raised and implement what was agreed upon.
