PV GAS Party Executive Committee organizes its 13th annual conference
As of part in the 2022 Work Program, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation’s Party Executive Committee (PV GAS Party Committee) on August 31 organized its 13th Conference in the 2020 - 2025 tenure to evaluate the results of its leadership in performing production and business tasks, the development of the Party and political system in the first 8 months of the year, to carry out plans and tasks in this year’s remaining 4 months; to thoroughly grasp the Regulation No. 69-QD/TW, dated July 6, 2022 of the Politburo on discipline party organizations and party members which violate, Plan No. 52-KH/UBKTTW dated June 30, 2022 of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission on the implementation of Conclusion No. 34-KL/TW, dated April 18, 2022 of the Politburo on the Party's inspection and supervision strategy until 2030 and some other important contents.
Comrade Duong Manh Son, the Commissioner of the Party Standing Committee at the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Party’s Secretary, General Director of PV GAS chaired the conference. Comrades in the Party Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Board, and the heads and deputy heads of socio-political organizations at the Corporation also attended the conference.
In the opening speech, comrade Duong Manh Son emphasized the importance of the discussed and approved contents at the conference and suggested each delegate to uphold the sense of responsibility, increase their intellectual capacity, promote democracy, actively discuss and contribute their ideas to achieve the conference's objectives.
The report at the conference affirmed that, in the first 8 months of 2022, besides fundamental advantages, the leadership and direction of the Party Committee at the Corporation faced many difficulties and challenges. However, with great determination and efforts, the right solution, and a drastic, synchronous and effective implementation, the Corporation’s Party Committee well completed the assigned political responsibilities and achieved the positive and quite comprehensive results. The Party Committee, the Standing Committee, advisory and assisting boards of the Party Committee issued 188 documents; The Inspection Board at the Party Committee issued 32 documents to carry out the tasks of each organization. The documents were issued in accordance with the right authority, ensuring the format of the Party's documents, and the quality of the documents has been improved. The working relationship between the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, the General Director at the Corporation and relevant organizations was implemented synchronously, closely, smoothly and efficiently, in compliance with Regulation 48-QD/TW , dated December 20, 2021 of the Central Committee, Working Regulations of the Party Committee and the other on the working relationship between the Party Executive Committee, the Party Standing Committee, the Board of Directors and the General Director at the Corporation. The gas works system was operated safely, supplied gas continuously to customers; and exceeded most of the targets and plans which was set out in the 8 months, especially the production and consumption of Condensate (162%), and LPG (118%). Its revenue in 8 months exceeded 30% of the plan to more than VND 69 trillion; pretax income exceeded 119% to more than VND 13 trillion dong; more than VND 5.4 trillion for the contribution to the state budget, exceeding 97% and increasing by 26-85% against the same period of last year. Social welfare activities continues to be paid attention with the disbursement of more than VND 50 billion (PVN has planned to earmark VND 80 billion in 2022 and 2013 while PV GAS has planned to allocate VND60 billion); cost reduction (in management, operation, construction and investment) saved VND190 billion, completing 107% of the 8-month plan.
At the conference, with a high spirit of consensus, the delegates agreed to identify the key tasks of production, business, and development of Party and the political system which should need to focus on leading and directing in the remaining 4 months of 2022 to achieve and exceed the targets, plans and tasks in 2022.
Concluding the Conference, comrade Duong Manh Son highly appreciated the preparation and the high sense of responsibility of the delegates. He suggested that right after this conference, party committees and organizations at all levels should objectively review and evaluate the leadership results in performing the tasks of production and business, building the Party and the political system at the units in the first 8 months of 2022, clearly analyzing the causes for the bad performance, the unmet targets, as a basis for proposing effective solutions to overcome, prepare for evaluating the results in the implementation of resolutions adopted by the Party congress at their respective levels in the first half of tenure.
