PV Gas named in Forbes Viet Nam’s Top 50 Best Listed Companies for the 10th consecutive year- "Top 5 Companies with the Best Revenues and Profits"
Forbes Vietnam Magazine in collaboration with partners on the afternoon of August 4 held a ceremony to honor the 50 best listed companies in 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) was honored in the list of top 9 companies, "Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam in 2022" in 10 consecutive years and Top 5 companies with the best revenues and profits.
In the "Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam in 2022" list, Forbes Vietnam uses the methodology of Forbes (U.S.) to rank the companies with the best business performance, which are listed on HOSE and HNX, basing on the important metrics such as the compound growth rate of revenue - profit; return on equity (ROE); return on investment (ROC); and earnings per share (EPS) growth rate in the 2016-2021 period; the company's position in the industry; profit origin; governance quality; development prospects, sustainable development…
Announcing the 2022 honouring list, Forbes Vietnam commented that: The COVID-19 pandemic provided many chances for companies in the 10th Forbes Vietnam 50 Best Listed Companies. The list’s companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) saw the best business performance and growth in 2021 and the 2016-2021 period. Most companies on the list are leaders in their industry or have set up a competitive advantage in their field. In the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, besides PV GAS, other two honoured companies by Forbes are PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company and PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation.
According to the statistics of Forbes Vietnam, the total earnings after tax of the companies on the list increased by 10.7% to VND 193.2 trillion compared to the list in last year. The companies’ total revenues reached VND1,192 trillion. PV GAS was ranked in the Top 5 companies with the most impressive revenues and profits.
10 years is a relatively long time to evaluate changes. In 2013, Forbes Vietnam made the 50 Best Listed Companies list for the first time. Over a decade, 138 firms were honored, but only nine companies out of them were named in the list for 10 consecutive years, including: Bao Viet, Hau Giang Pharmaceutical, FPT, PV GAS, Hoa Phat, Masan Group, REE, Vietcombank and Vinamilk.
