PV GAS responds to Month of Workers and Action Month for Labour Safety and Hygiene in 2021
Responding to Month of Workers with the theme "Solidarity, creativity, overcoming difficulties, and development" and Month for Labour Safety and Hygiene in 2021 entitled "Strengthening evaluation, examining risks of labour safety and hygiene and attracting staff in charge of safety and sanitation”, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS)’s Trade Union has carried out practical, meaningful and safe activities for employees and units amid Covid-19 epidemic.
Month of Workers is an annual activity organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in every May, aiming to take care of and protect legal rights and benefits of employees to develop harmonious, stable and progressive labour relations in enterprises. This year is the first to carry out the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; to celebrate the 135th anniversary of the International Labour Day on May 1 and the 75th anniversary of the first International Labor Day celebrated in Hanoi, with the participation of 200,000 people.
From the themes of Month of Workers and Action Month for Labour Safety and Hygiene in 2021, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has oriented trade union at levels to continue carrying out activities to promote efficiency, attracting a large number of union members, workers, and officers as well as Party committees at levels, authorities and employers.
Following the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s instruction, PV GAS Trade Union and its affiliated counterparts have soon developed an action plan for Month of Workers and Action Month for Labour Safety and Hygiene in the Corporation’s entire trade union system. The plan will be carried out in only May, but expressing the spirit of vitality from this year’s the first quarter.
PV GAS Trade Union has instructed the affiliated counterparts to coordinate with professional leaders, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Veterans Association to carry out activities in response to Month of Workers and Action Month for Labour Safety and Hygiene in accordance with units’ actual conditions amid the Covid-19 epidemic, absolutely ensuring safety for their employees’ life and health.
