PV GAS Glorified in Forbes’ Top 50 Listed Companies in Vietnam for 11th time
Forbes Vietnam acknowledged PV GAS as a pioneering unit in Vietnam's gas industry. The company concluded 2022 with record revenue of VND 100,723 billion (28% higher y-o-y) and an all-time high profit after tax of 14,798 billion (up 71%), ultimately leading its gross margin profit in 2022 to surge to 21.16% compared to 17.71% of 2021.

Forbes Vietnam reported that the total profit after tax of the 50 companies reached VND 228,096 billion – an increase of 18% compared to those in 2022. Moreover, the overall revenue hit VND 1,490,453 billion – a growth of 24.9%. Noticeably, the 2023 list didn’t feature many “newcomers” and the companies in the list were mostly industry-leading or those with established competitive advantages.

From the process of compiling the ranking did Forbes Vietnam also comment that in 2022, the profits of listed enterprises in general and the Top 50 in particular reached a record high, despite facing the most challenging period in about a decade. The declining trend of the stock market and the difficulty in attracting international capital were the reasons for the absence of significant IPOs and large-scale listings. However, Vietnam's economy still had bright spots as inflation remained controlled at a low level and the exchange rate were kept stable. This enabled the government to utilize monetary and fiscal policies to support the economy and stimulate growth.
