PV GAS ensures safe operations during Tet 2025
Following the directives of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), the President and CEO of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) strictly required all of its units to implement safety and fire prevention measures during the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tet).
The President and CEO of PV GAS instructed the leaders of all units to strengthen security and safety plans for all activities. Units must closely inspect and monitor compliance with safety and fire prevention regulations by employees, contractors, and visitors to gas facilities. Strict adherence to regulations on work permits, fire and heat source control, and chemical handling was highlighted. Only individuals, vehicles, and equipment meeting safety standards would be permitted to enter and operate within the facilities.

PV GAS President and CEO emphasizes safe and efficient production
All gas facilities, offices, and construction sites must be equipped with adequate firefighting forces and security personnel to regularly patrol and detect potential fire hazards. Firefighting and security teams must be trained and proficient in using firefighting equipment. Coordination with local police, border guards, and relevant authorities in areas where PV GAS operates must be reviewed and strengthened to implement agreed-upon security, safety, and firefighting patrol plans.
For office buildings and workplaces, documents and materials must be neatly organized. Flammable materials must be stored in designated areas with proper fire prevention measures, and all heat and fire sources must be strictly controlled. Before the Tet holiday, all electrical equipment must be checked and turned off, and firefighting equipment must be ensured to be in good working condition.
PV GAS would maintain a 24/7 production duty and emergency response system, ensuring uninterrupted communication. All divisions and units must emphasize the importance of safety in production and business activities as a top priority for all employees. Before Tet, units must complete the review and update of operational, operations and maintenance procedures, clarify responsibilities, and ensure effective communication. Risks, especially those arising from human factors, must be identified and controlled.

Safety culture drives PV GAS’ development over 35 years
Additionally, units must review and develop training and retraining plans for mid-level management and operational staff, ensuring safety culture to be instilled across all employees. Job rotations should be evaluated and implemented as needed. They were also responsible for enhancing the inspection and monitoring of equipment and systems at production and business facilities under their management. They must ensure the maintenance of safety protection functions in the systems, particularly reviewing the safety management system to guarantee coordination, information flow, and timely decision-making at all leadership levels.
The President and CEO also required unit leaders to ensure that all employees strictly comply with Party directives, state laws, and regulations on traffic safety, cybersecurity, and maintaining local and residential security and order. Gambling, alcohol consumption, and the use of stimulants while driving or working would be strictly prohibited.
