PV GAS CEO greets Samsung C&T delegates
Mr. Pham Van Phong, President & CEO of PV GAS, recently had a meeting and working session with Samsung C&T, led by President Oh Se Chul. The meeting was to explore collaboration between PV GAS and Samsung C&T in researching methods to increase LNG supply for industrial customers and utilize the cryogenic feature of LNG in the coming time.
The South Korean Samsung C&T is a construction and engineering company, having been involving in several successful cooperative projects in Vietnam. Recently, the giant formed a consortium with PTSC as the main contractor for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of Thi Vai LNG Terminal. During the working session, the President of Samsung C&T reported the entire process of their participation in bringing the first LNG cargo into Vietnam, expressing high pride in partnership with PV GAS to accomplish the essential stages of the terminal before transitioning into the operational phase.

In the upcoming period, Samsung C&T would commit to continue perfecting the remaining tasks to successfully conclude the commissioning of Thi Vai LNG Terminal, ensuring the harmonization of interests among all parties. Furthermore, as a company with intense investments in research and development, accumulated experience, and mastery of advanced technologies, Samsung C&T desired to maintain its partnership with PV GAS, not only in the LNG sector but also in other related fields such as commerce, technology, energy, and investment.

In response, the management of PV GAS expressed their confidence in the effective cooperative relationship over the past period. They particularly praised Samsung C&T's capability to work with PV GAS in meeting project deadlines despite being significantly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and numerous challenges during the construction phase.
