Materialization of Using Barcode to Improve LPG Cylinder Distribution Management in Vietnam

Following the MOA Signing Ceremony on August 8, 2023, between PV GAS, PV GAS LPG and JCCP, a Kick-off Meeting was held at PV GAS LPG headquarter in Hanoi on August 10, 2023, with the attendance of not only the mentioned parties but also HAGIO High Pressure Containers CO., Ltd., entrusted with implementing the Project by JCCP.

During the meeting, the participants focused on specific discussions about the current management of LPG cylinder distribution, the LPG cylinder tracking system, relevant infrastructure and human resources, customer groups, and the planned deployment areas to implement the Project, expected to contribute to: 

(i)    enhancing the management capacity of the LPG cylinder distribution system; 
(ii)    efficiently controlling the cycle of LPG cylinders; 
(iii)    mitigating unhealthy competition practices such as cylinder misappropriation, illegal cylinder refilling, violations of product branding regulations, and commercial frauds.

The visit to Phu Tho LPG Filling Station

 

The deployment plan for the initial phase was agreed upon by all parties. Accordingly, Phu Tho LPG Filling Station of the Northwest Branch under PV GAS LPG was selected as the location to set up the necessary equipment.

After the Kick-off Meeting, the delegation from PV GAS, PV GAS LPG, JCCP, and Hagio conducted an on-site visit to Phu Tho LPG Filling Station located in the Lam Thao Industrial Cluster, Phung Nguyen Commune, Lam Thao District, Phu Tho. Welcoming the delegation, the leadership of Phu Tho LPG Filling Station introduced and reported on the current status of the facility's infrastructure, fire prevention and firefighting equipment, LPG filling capacity, and the customer network of the Northwest Branch.

Following the report and a thorough examination of the station's actual conditions, the delegation provided general feedback and conclusions. It was concluded that Phu Tho LPG Filling Station fully met all the standards required for the Project's implementation.

Regarding the customer network, the delegation also held a meeting on August 11th with selected LPG Agents/Distributors participating in the Project in Hoa Binh. The purpose was to gather information about the specific characteristics of the local customer group, sales methods, current distribution, and delivery processes. After being introduced to the distribution management system with Japanese technology, the customer representatives highly appreciated the benefits and advantages that the Project would bring to their retail operations, and thereby committed to collaborate in the Project's implementation.

At the conclusion of the visit, the involved parties reached a consensus on the specific project deployment plan and expressed confidence that the Project would be a significant step in modernizing and enhancing the distribution management capabilities of the PV GAS LPG, contributing to the overall successes in the business operations of PV GAS.
