PV GAS and VPA: Effective Cooperation as part of Sustainable Development
On March 29, 2024, Petrovietnam Gas (PV GAS) organized a meeting with the Vietnam Petroleum Association (VPA) to discuss the cooperation between the two parties as per the agreement signed in October 2023.

PV GAS and VPA have implemented practical cooperation contents, exploiting the strengths of each party to fulfill assigned tasks. After PV GAS’ presentation about its production and business activities during the past period, as well as the difficulties and challenges encountered, the two discussed directions for changing operational models of PV GAS to be compatible with fluctuations, especially in the global energy market and in Vietnam.

PV GAS and VPA also exchanged about the cooperation plan in the next phase, including the investment projects of PV GAS in the fields of LNG, oil refining, and new energies (GH2, GNH3). Additionally, VPA would actively be in discussions with state management agencies about obstacles regarding mechanisms, policies, and conditions for the development of Vietnam’s gas industry to ensuring national energy security.
PV GAS also proposed VPA's cooperation in selecting and preparing proposals for science and technology awards at all levels for key scientific and technological projects managed by PV GAS. Both parties have preliminarily agreed on the plan and details for implementing this content.

In conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Pham Van Phong and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thap - Chairman of VPA both highly appreciated the effective cooperation results achieved during the past period. At the same time, they are determined to enhance the cooperative relationship according to the agreed directions, aiming to achieve specific results, contributing to the success and development of both entities.
