Activities to celeberate the month of "When drinking water, remember its source"
Intribute to the action Month of “Boosting the Gratitude Activities” launched by the petroleum industry, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) has held many practical activities demonstrating gratitude to people with meritorious services to the country, contributing to education of tradition to employees throughout PV Gas. On this occasion, the leadership has coordinated with PV Gas Trade Union in visiting employees who are children of martyrs and wounded soldiers, donating practical gifts to each family.
The Veteran Association (VET) of PV Gas in association with the Trade Union, Youth Union has paid visits to needy families of wounded soldiers in Vung Tau City. The team has visited 5 families under preferential treatment policy. Wounded soldiers visited by the team had devoted good service to the nation, are currently in difficulty situation with irregular income. Some families lives in Companion-in-arms Houses, but their life remains in utter hardship. Those wounded soldiers and their families are deeply moved and thankful to the PV Gas team.
Also in the month “When drinking water, Remember its Source”, in implementing directives of the Trade Union of PV Gas on boosting the gratitude activities, Trade Union units under direct control of PV Gas Trade Union have launched their responding activities, joining hands with the authorities of localities where they are based.
The Executive Board of Trade Union, Women's Department and Youth Union of PV Gas Services have paid visits and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, former political prisoners during the anti-American resistance war currently living in BR-VT Province. To share the hardship with needy wounded soldiers, currently living at far away communes of BR-VT Province, the Trade Union of PV Gas Services has donated 20 gift packages, via the contact committee of BR-VT's former political prisoners.
The Trade Union, Women's Department and Veteran Association of PV Gas South East Transmission Company (PV Gas SE) have paid visits and presented gifts to 10 needy families of wounded soldiers, with each gift package worth VND 1 million, and to former political prisoners having activities at the contact committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau former political prisoners. Also in the month aimed at boosting gratitude activities, the Trade Union of PV Gas SE has transferred VND 60 million, including employees' contributions (VND 56.4 million) and Company Trade Union fund (VND 4.6 million) to Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai Province) and Can Gio District (HCMC) for construction of 2 Great Solidarity Houses in 2012.
