PV GAS donates more VND10 billion to COVID-19 vaccine fund
After join the entire Oil & Gas Industry’s VND10 billion donation program for COVID-19 vaccine fund, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has continued to donate VND10 billion to the fund at raising ceremony co-organised by Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ba Ria- Vung Tau Province.
On May 26, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai approved to set up COVID-19 vaccine fund to admit, manage and use donations from domestic and foreign individuals and organizations, as well as other capital sources for buying and importing; researching, producing vaccines in the country and vaccinating people for COVID-19 prevention. Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee carries out its responsibility in raising money from organizations and individuals for the fund.
On May 28, on behalf of the leaders, officers and employees of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, its General Director Le Manh Hung donated VND50 billion to the fund, including VND10 billion from PV GAS.
On the same day, PV GAS representative took part in the fund raising ceremony in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province as the donor for the fund. The representative donated VND10 billion to Vietnam Fatherland Front in the province at the ceremony. The total raised money was more than VND160 billion.
As one of enterprises with social welfare activities in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, actively coordinating with local authorities to ensure security - safety for gas works as well as life in community, PV GAS has been among ten pioneering enterprises with the highest contribution in the province on this occasion. With the spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy", this timely action has shown the deep emotion and responsibility of PV GAS Board of Directors and employees, joining cashes and spiritual support for COVID-19 prevention and control in the province.
