PV GAS works with Nam Dinh for LNG Power Center Project
Recently, a delegation from Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), led by President & CEO Pham Van Phong, had a working session with the leaders of Nam Dinh Province to accelerate the investment procedures for the LNG Power Center project.

PV GAS’ President and CEO Pham Van Phong reaffirmed the Corporation’s commitment to closely collaborating with Nam Dinh Province as a leading enterprise in Vietnam’s gas industry with strong resources and operational efficiency. As a unit of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), PV GAS has established itself as the largest transporter and supplier of dry gas, LPG, and LNG in Vietnam.
In Nam Dinh, PV GAS has been actively conducting research and surveys to invest in an LNG Center. Dr. Pham Van Phong highlighted that this LNG Center would be identified as one of PV GAS’ key large-scale projects.

Speaking at the session, Secretary of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee Dang Khanh Toan and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Dinh Nghi expressed their high regard for the scale and strategic significance of the LNG Power Center project led by PV GAS. The provincial leaders had confidence in PV GAS’ capability and determination, expecting the project to contribute not only to energy security but also to attracting investment and driving Nam Dinh’s socio-economic development. This would align with the province’s broader economic and social development strategy, as approved by the Prime Minister for the 2021–2030 period with a vision to 2050.

Regarding the conditions PV GAS requested for investment decisions, provincial leaders assured that Nam Dinh was ready to facilitate collaboration and assist PV GAS with overcoming challenges, aiming at an ensured investment and implementation of the LNG Center.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Dinh Nghi was assigned as the direct focal point to lead and coordinate with PV GAS to expedite procedures and ensure the project’s effective execution. This cooperation was not only focused on economic and technical growth but also prioritized environmental protection and social welfare, aligning with Nam Dinh’s goal of breakthrough growth outlined in its provincial development plan.
On this occasion, PV GAS provided financial support to the Nam Dinh Social Welfare Fund through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to assist low-income and disadvantaged families during Tet. Additionally, PV GAS presented Tet gifts to Nam Truc District and sponsored medical equipment for the province through a program coordinated by the the province’s Department of Health.
