PVN/ PV GAS donates medical equipment to Thong Nhat Hospital
To carry out social welfare programme in this year of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has donated VND5 billion to Thong Nhat Hospital in HCM City to buy medical equipment to serve health examination and treatment.
The hospital on November 12 organised a ceremony to receive the donation.
At the ceremony, PV GAS donated modern equipment including two spine stretchers; and one system of arm and hand rehabilitation robotics for stroke patients. The three equipment were worth VND5 billion.
Delegates also visited and saw the use of medical equipment for patient care at the hospital’s Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
2020 is a special milestone of the hospital and PV GAS- two units with the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period- when the Thong Nhat Hospital has celebrated its 45th anniversary of establishment and the 30th anniversary of establishment and development for PV GAS.
PVN/PV GAS has cooperated with the Thong Nhat Hospital to carry out many healthcare programmes for people. The hospital has used the donated medical equipment in health examination and treatment effectively and strengthened technical facilities for its activities.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, Assoc. Prof Dr Le Dinh Thanh, the hospital’s director, on behalf of its Board of Directors, expressed deep gratitude to leaders of PVN/ PV GAS. He pledged that the hospital would use the donated equipment effectively to bring benefits to the people and the community.
PV GAS ' representative shared that PV GAS was pleased to represent the Oil and Gas Industry to donate the equipment to the hospital although the donation was not so great, but practical. The equipment would create more conditions for doctors to save patients more efficiently.
