PV GAS to actively respond to COVID-19 pandemic

Complying with General Director of the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (PVN)’s the instruction on the implementation of urgent tasks and methods to respond to double impacts caused by COVID-19 pandemic and an oil price decline, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) continues to carry out preventive measures against the pandemic and other activities to ensure production and trade as well as security for the gas systems. 

As of March’s mid, Việt Nam has seen the increase of COVID-19 incidences. PV GAS has immediately made and carried out a plan to respond to the pandemic to ensure production uninterrupted.

PV GAS’s leaders have instructed preventive measures and had scenarios for responding to the COVID-19 if the pandemic breaks out at its divisions, but still to obtain detailed goals of maintaining the continuous operation process of gas works to ensure national energy security, the implementation of PV GAS’s main projects; and limiting transmission leading to impacts on its staff’s health and community. 

The plan and scenarios have been carried out in all offices and centres run by PV GAS; management boards of projects; and constructors. Guests also have to comply with the plan.

Moreover, PV GAS has issued temporary guidance on working from home (only for staff working at its offices) and limiting transmission among offices. 

PV GAS also has strengthened online services, but still maintained data security and quality. The number of staff taking part in meetings of PV GAS has been limited. Each of them has checked their body temperature, worn masks and kept distance among them in sitting. 
Hand sanitizers and masks also have been put at each office and gas system of PV GAS.
