PV GAS successfully organizes the Safety – Health – Environment Conference in 2023
In response to the Workers' Month - Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023, and to evaluate the management in 2022, the first quarter of 2023 and to set out the action plan in this whole year, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) on March 31 organized a Safety - Health - Environment Conference in 2023.
In compliance with the provisions of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health, PV GAS every year makes and issues an occupational safety and health plan with sufficient contents in accordance with regulations; and assigns all specific tasks with implementation progress to all related units/departments at PV GAS. The PV GAS SHE conference is an important task and work in this Plan. This is also a big conference, aiming to raise the level of SHE tasks in line with development trends, proposing to leaders issues arising from the working reality.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Hoang Van Quang, CEO of PV GAS emphasized: PV GAS is always aware that ensuring security and safety is the top key task and guideline throughout all activities. Therefore, during nearly 33 years of establishment and development, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation has ensured absolute safety in production and business, without any serious accidents or fire incidents, which have affected people, the environment and property. The conference was an open and frank forum as well as exchange to give practical ideas to constantly innovate and improve the quality of SHE management for the PV GAS sustainable development.
At the conference, attendees highly valued PV GAS SHE work as a typical enterprise, leading in the national movement. Whereas, they shared their ideas for this work such as: It was necessary to continue maintaining and continuously making the strict management, inspection and supervision system better; to strengthen risk identification and control at its gas projects/facilities; to improve the quality of its specialized human resources; to sufficiently deploy new legislation; to maintain the coordination with local governments; and to promote safety culture; etc.
