On June 24, 2024, in Hanoi, the Investment Newspaper and Vietnam Business Research Joint Stock Company (Viet Research) announced the Top 50 and Top 10 Innovative, Creative, and Efficient Enterprises of 2024 (VIE50 and VIE10 respectively), as well as the Top 100 Innovative, Creative, and Efficient Products and Services of 2024 (POY). Notably, Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) was honored in the VIE50 and ranked second in the VIE10 within the Oil and Gas – Energy – Electricity sector, just behind its parent company, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam).

On June 18, 2024, Fortune magazine, for the first time, released the ranking of Southeast Asia Top 500 largest companies in 2024 - the Southeast Asia 500, based on their 2023 annual income. Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has had the honor of being among 70 Vietnam enterprises that have a place in the list.

On June 17, 2024, Forbes Vietnam announced the "Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam 2024". This year marked the 12th time Forbes Vietnam had published the list, among which Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) had been consistently ranked.

On May 23, 2007, PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution Joint Stock Company (PV GAS DISTR) was established with the mission to develop a network for low-pressure gas distribution, expanding the pipeline system from the source of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) to industrial zones and urban areas nationwide.

With the approval of the Prime Minister, Vietnam’s Government Inspectorate welcomed a high-level delegation from the Cambodian State Inspectorate, led by H.E Mr. Hout Hak, Minister of the Cambodian Ministry of Inspection. On June 14, 2024, the Delegation visited Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) and received a report on the Corporation’s internal control efforts.

The State Inspection of Laos led by Head of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee's Inspection Commission and the Central Anti-Corruption Commission of Laos and President of the Lao State Inspection Authority Khamphan Homothet visited and worked in Vietnam from June 2-8, 2024.

Recently, Viet Research collaborated with Bao Dau tu (Vietnam Investment Review) to announce the Top 10 Most Innovative Enterprises Vietnam 2024 (VIE10), in which Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) ranked 2nd in the Oil and Gas - Energy category.
 

47 scientific projects have just been glorified with Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creation (VIFOTEC) 2023 Awards. Two units under Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), namely the PV GAS South East Transmission Company (PV GAS SE) and PV GAS Ca Mau Company (PV GAS CA MAU), had the honor of this category.
 

On May 29, 2024, Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) to review the implementation of the 2023 plan, discuss that in 2024 and other important matters.

From May 23rd to 25th, 2024, the Vietnam Association of Catalysis and Adsorption, in coordination with PetroVietNam University, held the 12th National Conference on Catalysis and Adsorption. With the theme "Catalysis and Adsorption Facing the Challenges of Energy Transition," the conference welcomed nearly 200 delegates, including 16 Professors, 41 Associate Professors, 52 Doctors, and 29 postgraduates from 41 universities, 11 research institutes, and 13 enterprises nationwide. Particularly, there were 13 delegates from 9 leading universities and research institutes from Taiwan, Australia, and South Korea.

Based on the mutual agreement between Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) and PTT Thailand in November 2023 and to continue the exchanges between the two, PTT Thailand conducted a business visit to PV GAS on May 21st, 2024.

Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) successfully received the 4th LNG shipment at Thi Vai LNG Terminal, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This cargo is expected to help ensure gas supply for electricity generation in Vietnam, meeting increasing demand due to the intense heat of the peak summer season.
