The Steel Pipe Plant Project with PV PIPE as the Investor has the total invested capital of VND 2,175 billion; its construction was started on 25/10/2010. The Plant invested in LSAW (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded) and 3-Roll Bending technology and production line, with all synchronous equipment imported from Germany, Switzerland and EU. The Plant capacity reaches 100,000 tons/year under one-shift working mode and 200,000 tons/year under two-shift working mode. The construction of steel pipe plant project has been completed on schedule and ready for production in support of projects as planned.

This is the exercise of processing oil spillage information first held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province with the participation of many functional units. According to practice, every 6 month, PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) organizes public auction of liquefied petroleum gas - LPG (also known by the popular name as gas) produced by Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant to the market. On August 13, 2012, 103,800 tons of LPG produced at Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant for the period from October 2012 – March 2013 have been subscribed for purchase by 16 potential customers in the auction, and 12 of them have won the bid to purchase all the above mentioned quantity. According to the auction result approved by competent authority, additional fee (premium) for the successful auction this time is higher than that of the previous auction (04/2012 - 09/2012), at 10 USD/ton for tank truck delivery service and 11 USD/ton for ship delivery service.

Going along with the country over two decades of efforts to innovate and develop, all staffs of our PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) would welcome the national holidays, the 37th anniversary of establishment of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry, the 22nd birthday of PV Gas and 17th anniversary of the first onshore gas flow.

In celebration of the National Day, the 37th anniversary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry, the 22nd anniversary of PV Gas and to celebrate the Trade Union Congress tenure 2012 – 2017 of PV Gas, the Trade Union organization of PV Gas held the Sports Festival 2012 in 2 days September 15-16, 2012 in Vung Tau City.

On 31/8/2012, PetroVietnam Gas Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (PVID) officially celebrated its 5th anniversary date (31/8/2007 – 31/8/2012).

Pursuant to the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union, organization plan of Trade Union Congresses at all levels, and in order to implement the instructions from Executive Committee of PV Gas Trade Union, all 19 affiliated Unions divisions have completed organizing Trade Union Branch Congress in August 2012 with good results. Previously, Trade Union departments and groups belonging to the affiliated Union divisions also held the Congress in July 2012.

Recently, the Communist Youth Union of PV Gas and Communist Youth Union of Nha Be District – HCMC have signed the joint program of Communist Youth Union activities and youth, children movements. The signing was based on effective results of coordination in recent years between Communist Youth Union of PV Gas and Communist Youth Union of Nha Be District with many exciting volunteer activities, tradition education activities, culture, sports - gymnastics activities, which yielded good results to Communist Youth Union activities and youth, children movements at the two units. The signing was also aimed at creating the solid basis for the close relation between the two units, and further encouraging Union members - youths in promoting the volunteer spirit, creativity , contributing to successful implementation of the Resolution of the Union Congress at different levels, building Union establishments at the two units.

Recently in Hanoi, PetroVietnam Trade Union has held the summary conference on “Outstanding, Creative Labour” Movement in Oil and Gas sector in the period 2007-2012.

On the occasion of 2012-2013 school year beginning, the Children Sponsorship Fund of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in association with PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) maintains the program to present school bags also serving as life-saving buoys to students in wet lands, who are frequently threatened with the risk of drowning on the way to school.

Intribute to the action Month of “Boosting the Gratitude Activities” launched by the petroleum industry, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) has held many practical activities demonstrating gratitude to people with meritorious services to the country, contributing to education of tradition to employees throughout PV Gas. On this occasion, the leadership has coordinated with PV Gas Trade Union in visiting employees who are children of martyrs and wounded soldiers, donating practical gifts to each family.

Dr. Do Van Hau, CEO of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) has led the task force including PVN's leaders to visit and work with representatives of 6 member companies (including PV Gas) in Vung Tau and HCMC.
