Implementing the Social security program in 2013, the Veterans Association of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) coordinated with local government of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province to offer a ‘Comradeship’ house with value of VND 50 million to veteran Kieu Quang Van.

In order to welcome the 38th anniversary of South Vietnam Liberation and National Reunification Day (30/4/1975 - 30/4/2013) and the International Labor Day 1/5; as well as implement the regulation in coordination between PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) and border guards of Ca Mau Province in order to ensure the protection and security of pipeline PM3 – Ca Mau, the Youth Union of PetroVietnam Gas Ca Mau (PV Gas Ca Mau) had coordinated with Youth Union of PV GAS, Youth Union of Border Guards Commanding Unit of Ca Mau Province, Youth Union of Economic security unit of Ca Mau Public Security, and local Youth Committee of Ca Mau Province to organize the “Border Island Sentiment Program” 2013. The program was conducted from April 27 to 28, 2013 and aimed to visit and offer gifts to officers and soldiers who have been working at Hon Khoai Island, Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province.

By the end of March 2013, at the invitation of Her Excellency Vietnam’s Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, His Excellency Vice President of Republic of the Union of Myanmar - Mr. Nyan Tun had visited Vietnam for the first time in his position as the Vice President. President Truong Tan Sang and Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan welcome the Myanmar Vice President in Hanoi and emphasized that his visit had positively ‘s contributed to the enhancement of current traditional friendship relations and good cooperation among the two countries. It is mutually affirmed that both parties will maintain the current bilateral effective cooperation to solve problems, strengthen the cooperation in many fields, and commit to actively promote the implementation of high-level agreements mutually reached by the two countries.

Tet 2013 is the occasion to spend time with family and enjoy the warm and cheerful Spring days. Besides, however, many employees and companies of PV Gas have chosen this opportunity to express their affection to compatriots, share with those in difficult circumstances, in an effort to help them enjoy the Lunar New Year. To welcome the traditional Tet, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) continued to maintain its gas supply task sustainably, contributing to ensure energy security for the country, promoting emulation movements to complete plan in 2013. In addition, PV Gas also organized activities to congratulate the Party, celebrate the New Year.

The new spring is coming back to our beloved Vietnam. We are all happy to celebrate the New Year 2013, welcoming achievements of our country, of the oil and gas industry within 30 years of innovation and development, carrying out the wish of Great Uncle Ho. Tet is the occasion to spend time with family and welcome the peaceful and cheerful days of the New Year. However, not everyone truly has days off. For employees “on duty” in the operation system of PV Gas gas facilities, ensuring safe and uninterrupted gas flow and gas products quality are the top priorities. Thus, a lot of PV Gas leaders and employees still maintained their routine tasks on duty during Tet holidays. The New Year also brought them distinctive funs.

According to statistics and general warning, during year-end months, the dry season, Lunar New Year days are usually high time for fires, labor accidents due to electric shorts, negligence, failure to abide by regulations on fire protection …. resulting in unanticipated damage to human and property. To prevent, minimize accident risks, ensure security and safety in operations of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) and maintain some key tasks in fire protection, rescure, salvage as directed by the Prime Minister, Ba Ria – Vung Tau People Committee and PetroVietnam on boosting fire protection activities during the dry season and Lunar New Year of 2013, PV Gas has promptly asked its member companies to implement these activities, especially to prevent damages to human and property.

After 15 years since the first gas flow was brought onshore, Gas Processing Company with PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation has processed and supplied over 19.5 billion m3 of dry gas, more than 4 million tons of LPG and 1.38 million tons of Condensate; providing fuels and feedstock for production of approximately 10% national power output, 30% fertilizer output, 10% gasoline output and meeting 30% LPG demand for industrial and household consumption of the country.

In a joyful and exciting atmosphere of celebrating the excellent performance of production and business plan in 2012, welcoming New Year 2013, PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation along with its partners organized the project groundbreaking ceremony “Gas gathering & distribution system of Ham Rong and Thai Binh fields, blocks 102 & 106, phase 1”
