PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PETROVIETNAM GAS - PV Gas) is one of the major companies – a member of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), playing the leading role in the gas industry of Vietnam. PV Gas engages in gathering, transporting, storing, processing, distributing and trading of gas products.

PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation organized the “Laborer Conference – Summary of production and business operations in 2012 and deployment of plans in 2013” on December 18th, 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City. This is the first Laborer Conference of the year in the whole Vietnam Oil and Gas industry.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, and representatives of business cooperation partners in Nam Con Son Gas Pipelines (NCSP) consisting of Mr. Manapov Timur, Chief of Mining Technology Department of TNK Vietnam B.V, Mr. Hoang Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Nam Con Son Pipelines Company, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Lien - Member of Executive Board of PV Gas Trade Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Khanh - Administrative staff and Public Relations of ConocoPhillips (UK) Cuulong Ltd. (an affiliate of Perenco) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Duong Chi - External Advisor of Nam Con Son Pipelines Company.

PV Gas Trade Union Congress is an important, large-scale and regular conference of PV Gas Trade Union, held in accordance with principles, rules and protocol, in order to discuss and make decisions on important issues. The Congress is also the democratic political activity for Trade Union officers and members to review, discuss and evaluate their trade union activities at all levels in the last tenure, from which, determining orientations and tasks for the next tenure. Also the Congress unifies the will and actions, ensuring good performance of tasks set by the Congress.

The Meeting was presided over by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lan, Chairwoman of PV Gas’ Board of Directors and Mr. Do Khang Ninh, Member of the Board of Directors, PV Gas’ President and CEO. Attendees of the meeting included members of the Board of Directors, the Board of Management and the Board of Controllers; 39 shareholders and shareholder representatives, holding 1,866,525,910 shares representing 98.5% total shares with voting rights of PV Gas.

With the general topic of "Promoting the role of gas as a clean energy source, updating gas projects, challenges and opportunities", Gasex 2012 held many conferences and workshops related to the oil and gas sector, especially forums for exchange of information on exploration, production, transportation, gas processing and trading. Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh, Head of PV Gas’ Gas Import and Development Division, made a speech on LNG import projects in Vietnam. The Vietnamese delegation including Mr Ngo Anh Hien - Deputy Head of PVN’s Gas Division presented PVN’s report as a Gasex member.

The Steel Pipe Plant Project with PV PIPE as the Investor has the total invested capital of VND 2,175 billion; its construction was started on 25/10/2010. The Plant invested in LSAW (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded) and 3-Roll Bending technology and production line, with all synchronous equipment imported from Germany, Switzerland and EU. The Plant capacity reaches 100,000 tons/year under one-shift working mode and 200,000 tons/year under two-shift working mode. The construction of steel pipe plant project has been completed on schedule and ready for production in support of projects as planned.

This is the exercise of processing oil spillage information first held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province with the participation of many functional units. The exercise was under cooperation of local units such as: Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control and Search and Rescue, Border Guard Command, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Vung Tau Port Authority, Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre of Region III, Vung Tau Coastal Information Radio Station, Marine Police Region III, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Southern Maritime Safety Assurance Corporation…

According to practice, every 6 month, PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) organizes public auction of liquefied petroleum gas - LPG (also known by the popular name as gas) produced by Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant to the market. On August 13, 2012, 103,800 tons of LPG produced at Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant for the period from October 2012 – March 2013 have been subscribed for purchase by 16 potential customers in the auction, and 12 of them have won the bid to purchase all the above mentioned quantity. According to the auction result approved by competent authority, additional fee (premium) for the successful auction this time is higher than that of the previous auction (04/2012 - 09/2012), at 10 USD/ton for tank truck delivery service and 11 USD/ton for ship delivery service.

In celebration of the National Day, the 37th anniversary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry, the 22nd anniversary of PV Gas and to celebrate the Trade Union Congress tenure 2012 – 2017 of PV Gas, the Trade Union organization of PV Gas held the Sports Festival 2012 in 2 days September 15-16, 2012 in Vung Tau City.
