PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) is a member company of PetroVietnam playing the key role in gas industry ranging from gathering, transporting, storing, processing, distributing and trading of gas products.

The secretariat of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has agreed in principle to select 2014 as “Year of Youth Volunteers”. The plan “Year of Youth Volunteers 2014 ” of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has also been drafted in an effort to promote the pioneer and volunteer roles of the youth in joining socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty alleviation, ensuring social security, new rural construction, urban civilization. The secretariat of Party Central Committee has expressed their desire and confidence that activities of “Year of Youth Volunteers” would create a quantitative transformation of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization, solidarity expansion, youth assembling, contributing to creation of suitable environment for the youth to forge their virtues, being aware of their honour and responsibilities in national construction and defense. Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is still welcoming opinions of relevant agencies to complete the plan; selecting meaningful volunteer activities to contribute to efficient implementation of major programs of the Party and the State in 2014; preparing specific action plans closely in line with requirements of socio-economic development, strengthening of national defense and security, at the same time creating consensus, promoting political responsibilities of levels and sectors, creating the synergy strength for implementing those targets.

In the atmosphere full of excitement and pride of employees for impressive achievement of business plan targets in 2013 and determination to maintaining growth in 2014, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) held the Conference on Safety – Health – Environment 2013 on 28/2/2014. The Conference is aimed at assessing results as well as existing problems, causes and experiences in order to propose targets and orientation for Safety – Health – Environment tasks in the coming time, eliminating risks of security and safety in PV GAS’ activities. The Conference was also an opportunity for PV GAS’ member companies and related companies of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group to exchange and share experiences on safety – health – environment tasks.

Right in the first working days of the Lunar New Year, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation has held many activities to promote employees’ emulation movement, maintain social security programs effectively and significantly.

In the morning of 11/12/2013, at the head office of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), a ceremony was organized to publicly announce the new Chairman of PV GAS Board of Directors. Attending the ceremony were, from Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc - PVN Secretary of Party Committee, Board Chairman, Mr. Do Van Hau – President & CEO; representatives of Party Committee departments, leaders of relevant departments; from PV GAS leadership, Mr. Do Khang Ninh - Secretary of Party Committee, President & CEO, Mr. Tran Van Tam, Vice Permanent Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of Trade Union; Mr. Vu Dinh Chien, Deputy Board Chairman; members of PV GAS Party Committee Executive Board; members of Board of Directors, Management Board, leaders of divisions, affiliates and subsidiaries; leadership representatives of PV GAS mass organizations.

In the morning of Friday 06/12/2013, during the business trip to Southern provinces, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan – Politburo member, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly visited and worked with PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS). Attending the meeting with Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan were leaders from PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation: Mr. Le Nhu Linh - Chairman of Board of Directors, Mr. Do Khang Ninh - Secretary of Party Committee, President & CEO, Mr. Vu Dinh Chien – Vice Chairman of Board of Directors, members of Board of Directors, Management Board, leaders of Divisions, subsidiaries and members of PV GAS.

By 24/11/2013, Vung Tau Gas Processing Company (KVT), a member of PV GAS, has completed its 2013 annual business targets. In specific, its dry gas output is 1,081.7 million cubic meters (2013 annual plan), representing 100.3% of the annual plan and expected to reach 1,190 million cubic meters by 31/12/2013, or 110% of the annual plan; LPG output 264.37/216 thousand tons, equal to 122.4% and expected to reach 286.14 thousand tons, or 132% by 31/12/2013; Bach Ho Condensate output 54.2/51 thousand tons, equal to 106.3% and expected to rise to 59.34 thousand tons or 116% by 31/12/2013.

On September 27th, at the head office of PV GAS – HCM City, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) held the Conference on PVN’s Representatives 2013.

In the morning of October 2nd 2013, People’s Committee and Vietnam Study Encouragement Association in BR-VT Province held a ceremony for the 17th anniversary of Vietnam Study Encouragement Association (2/10/1996 – 2/10/2013).

Starting with associated gas which used to be burned offshore, Vietnam has quickly become a “Gas Country” in the world map, able to satisfy the increasing and widespread gas demand in industry, commerce, households and transport.

On August 21, 2013, PV Gas Ca Mau Company - the representative agency of PV Gas in Ca Mau held a ceremony to inaugurate its headquarters office. This event marked the increasing growth of PV Gas Ca Mau and the reinforcement of PV Gas’s role in the industry in the Southwest Vietnam.

Continuing the program of "Action for children in difficult circumstances", especially to support, encourage and partly share difficulties with poor pupils, on August, 17, 2013, the Department of Social Work – Teenagers and Children PV Gas’s Youth Union has organized a trip to remote areas close to the border of Ninh Dien commune, Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province for the purpose of helping poor pupils to continue their studies. Joining the trip were members of the PV Gas’s Executive body’s Youth Unions of grassroots level, PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution JSC., PetroVietnam Southern Gas JSC., PV Gas PMB.
