KCM held a Conference summarizing 5-year implementation of executing the collaboration regulations on the protection of oil and gas security, safety and seas security
To evaluate cooperative activities between Ca Mau Gas Company - a subsidiary of PV GAS and border guards in the provinces with gas projects, on June 06th, 2014, Ca Mau Gas Company (KCM) held a Conference summarizing 5-year implementation of executing the collaboration regulations on the protection of oil and gas security, safety and seas security between PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Company (PV GAS) and Border Guard Command for 6 provinces in the South West region.
Among the participants in the Conference, there were the Deputy chief of staff of the Border Guard Command, Colonel Nguyen Truc Thom; Deputy head of Inspection Department of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Mr. Bui Danh Cuong; Vice President of PV GAS, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, as well as the leaders of provincial border guard commands of Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, and Tien Giang, and relevant leaders and representatives of KCM.
In recent times, the leaders of provincial border guard command of Ca Mau and KCM frequently informed each other of the situation and legal documents in relation to oil and gas activities and the management and protection of the sovereignty of maritime boundaries and islands, and major guidelines of the Party and State on developing sea economy. Leaders of both parties also regularly coordinated and propagandized to the people regarding fundamental issues of National Border Law; Government’s decree on the protection of oil and gas safety and security; Decree on handling administrative violations in the field of oil and gas; and Decree on the Regulations on sea border territories. Of which, the focus of the propaganda was on key coastal areas where there were a lot of sea fishing and logistics vehicles and boats such as Rach Goc town, Cai Doi Vam town, Doc River town.... Thereby, 6 centralized propaganda meetings were held for about 1,940 participants as farmers; nearly 36,420 leaflets on the coordinates and regulations on the protection of gas work safe corridor at sea.
Ca Mau Gas Company and border guards of 5 provinces (Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre) also frequently communicated and implemented activities for officers and guards to understand and effectively implement step-by-step, contributing to the accomplishment of the tasks of protecting the safety and security of gas pipelines in the sea and islands, and protecting the sovereignty and security of maritime boundaries and islands.
In the framework of the Summary Conference, the representatives of Ca Mau Gas Company and Border Guard of Ca Mau Province re-signed the Coordination Regulations. PV GAS also held a ceremony to reward 8 teams and 16 individuals from border guard commands of South Western provinces that have given excellent performance in the coordination work in the last 5 years. The Border Guard Command of Ca Mau Province granted merit certificates to 1 team and 2 individuals from Ca Mau Gas Company who have given excellent performance in the coordination regulations.
