First production ceremony for Block B – O Mon pipeline project: affirms PV GAS COATING' position
On March 5, 2025, PV GAS COATING held the first production ceremony for Block B – O Mon gas pipeline project.
Relevant units’ leaders at the ceremony
Block B – O Mon is one of the national key oil and gas projects, playing a particularly important role in Vietnam's energy security strategy. The chain includes: Block B gas field development project (upstream), Block B – O Mon gas pipeline project (midstream), and four gas-to-power plants at O Mon Power Center. The onshore pipeline section of Block B – O Mon gas pipeline project, implemented by SWPOC, will pass through the provinces of Ca Mau, Kien Giang, and Can Tho City.
In 2025, PV GAS COATING will execute the pipeline and bend coating contracts for the onshore pipeline section of the project, covering pipes with diameters ranging from 18 inches to 30 inches and a total length of approximately 101.7 km. Additionally, the company will also carry out the pipeline coating contract for the in-field pipeline section of the project chain, with pipe diameters ranging from 8 inches to 28 inches and a total length of about 54 km.
Following the ceremony, representatives from the participating units visited PV GAS COATING’ factory and witnessed the first completed coated pipeline product of the project. This was to demonstrate the company's readiness to implement and complete the contract as committed.
