Chairman of the Petrovietnam Board of Directors Hoang Quoc Vuong checks the progress of one-million-ton LNG Thi Vai Storage Project

As a part of the working program with units in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) Hoang Quoc Vuong and the Group's delegation visited, had a meeting at PV GAS Vung Tau Warehouse, and checked the progress of one-million-ton LNG Thi Vai Storage Project.

At the meeting, PV GAS CEO Hoang Van Quang and PV GAS Deputy General Directors reported to the Group's leaders on the progress of 1- million-ton LNG Thi Vai Storage Project. Currently, the project’s overall progress has reached 97.08% with more than 2.73 million of hours totally; No occupational accidents occurred during the implementation. The Covid-19 prevention and control as well as the work on protecting health and safety of its workers... were carried out strictly and fully to ensure a flexible and effective response to the pandemic and to maintain the project’s progress as the schedule.

PV GAS Board of Directors reported to the delegation that the project was expected to be put into operation by the first half of 2023.

Concluding at the meeting, Petrovietnam Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong emphasized that the one-million-ton LNG Thi Vai Storage Project was a key project of the Group, which would played an important role in providing clean energy for other large projects. Therefore, the Group's leaders ordered the units in charge of the project’s construction and implementation to continue the close and active coordination and to speed up the progress to put the project into effective operation.

After the meeting, the delegation directly visited PV GAS Vung Tau Warehouse to check the project’s progress, the port area and PETEC petroleum depot of PVOIL and the service port of ​​PTSC Phu My. These are the areas which will meet the demand for the operation chain of the 1-million-ton LNG Thi Vai Storage Project.
