Message from PV GAS President & CEO on occasion of 34th Anniversary of PV GAS
Dear PV GAS Employees,
Today, I am honored to join everyone in celebrating the 34th anniversary of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation. On behalf of the management board, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and deep gratitude to all employees who have stood by PV GAS throughout the years.
Since the first gas flow brought ashore in 1995, PV GAS has continually risen to become one of the flagship of Vietnam's gas industry. We have overcome numerous challenges to deliver over 176 billion cubic meters of dry gas, 27 million tons of LPG, and millions of tons of other gas products, making significant contributions to national energy security. With the efforts of all employees, not only has PV GAS fulfilled its tasks but also exceeded its planned targets, affirming its leading position in the gas industry.
The year 2024 marks a new step forward in PV GAS' development journey—the successful transportation of LNG along the North-South railway and its distribution to industrial customers represents a key milestone in transforming our business model and expanding the Corporation’s energy supply map. This achievement underscores our management capabilities and reflects our strong commitment to a green energy journey and the availability of comprehensive energy solutions for our customers.
However, the challenges we may face in the near future are unprecedented. The decline of domestic sources, fluctuations in international markets, and the global energy transition demand more than ever in terms of innovation in PV GAS' operations. Alongside protecting our core values, implementing a more proactive and flexible business model is crucial for the Corporation’s sustainable development.
On the other hand, we can expect various opportunities for PV GAS' growth. With a focus on investing in centralized LNG storage projects and researching clean energy production, PV GAS is positioning itself as a pioneer in Vietnam’s green energy revolution. We are preparing for the future, aiming not only at maintaining but also to expand our market position internationally, while contributing to the nation’s goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050, as committed by the Government at COP26.
I am confident that with our spirit of solidarity, determination, and relentless creativity, we will overcome any difficulties and seize opportunities to continue asserting our role in the gas industry and writing new glorious chapters for PV GAS and our country.
