PV GAS VT performs maintenance and repair for Slug Catcher SC-02 at GPP Dinh Co
As part of the Regular Maintenance and Repair plan in 2022, with the aim of periodically checking and ensuring the readiness of the Gas Processing System at GPP Dinh Co, . Petrovietnam Gas Vungtau Processing Company (PV GAS VT) in collaboration with Petrovietnam Gas Services Company (PV GAS Services) started to perform maintenance and repair for the set of Slug Catcher SC-02 equipment and is expected to be completed on April 23, 2022.
Since 1999, Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant (GPP Dinh Co) has been the first one in Vietnam to apply and transfer modern technologies in investment and construction of gas works with modern technical equipment. The factory is operated under high-tech process and automatic synchronization. The management software helps to monitor the factory's production more closely and effectively. Up to now, these equipment systems and technologies have not been outdated and continued to operate stably and with high efficiency.
The annual profit from products of Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant always accounts for 20-35% of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS)’s the total one, making a very important contribution to the latter’s rapid growth of the Corporation.
Offshore gas including sources from Cuu Long and Nam Con Son 2 basins into Dinh Co GPP was first received at Slug Catcher (SC-01/02). Slug Catcher is a 3-phase gas/liquid separator, 42- inch diameter tube, including two SC-01 and SC-02 branches with the volume each of 1,400 m3.
The main maintenance in this phase included: Cleaning; Non-destructive inspection of welds on liquid collection head (Liquid Header), and repair (if necessary)…
Maintenance and repair of SC-02 equipment was strictly controlled by two companies to ensure safety, quality, and progress as well as maintain the continuous operation of GPP Dinh Co. Especially, the COVID-19 control, the prevention of any potential risk of deterioration in employees’ health, and delay in the progress of maintenance and repair were also paid attention to with clear and effective improvisation plans.
