2013 New Year Message from PV Gas President & CEO
The new spring is coming back to our beloved Vietnam. We are all happy to celebrate the New Year 2013, welcoming achievements of our country, of the oil and gas industry within 30 years of innovation and development, carrying out the wish of Great Uncle Ho. On behalf of PetroVietnam Gas Stock Corporation, I would like to wish you all with good health, joy, happiness and prosperity in the New Year of Snake.
2012 year marked a new turning point of the entire Oil and Gas industry, reinforcement of sustainable development strategy of the whole industry on the basis of new orientation. PetroVietnam in general, PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) and its member companies in particular have been, together with the whole country, implementing emulation movements, overcoming difficult challenges.
This is also the time when PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation – PV Gas completed its equitization process, strictly carrying out the development strategy of the industry to ensure safe and efficient operation of gas facilities; perfecting the development planning of PV Gas; focusing on building and development of PV Gas trade name domestically and abroad.
PV Gas has fulfilled and exceeded most of target norms, especially reaching the targets ahead of schedule by 2 to 4 months with respect to some business norms. In 2012, PV Gas obtained the highest records in sales and profits since its foundation and maintained the position as one of the leading companies in PetroVietnam and on the stock exchange regarding profit, with significant contributions to the national budget, contributing to macro-economic stabilization of the country. The material, spiritual life and employment of personnel are stably maintained; PV Gas has effectively participated in many social security programs; positively engaged in integration to aim at strategic objectives: developing the gas industry into one of the leading industries of the national economy, gradually reaching out to the international gas markets with a high rating in the ASEAN region and becoming one of strongest brands of gas in Asia.
Those achievements are thanks to close attention, directions of PetroVietnam, active support of governmental ministries, local authorities, cooperative partners to PV Gas; and regular, solid and flexible leadership, direction, management and administration from the Party Committee, Board of Directors and Board of Management; contributions of PV Gas workers with high spirit and responsibility, not intimidated by challenges.
PV Gas Party Committee, Trade Union, Board of Directors and Board of Management warmly compliment and sincerely thank all leaders of affiliates, personnel throughout PV Gas who have strived in production, education and training, resulting in exciting movements, for achievements in 2012. I would like to send my most sincere thanks to Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, localities, partners and friends for their valuable support and contribution to achievements of PV Gas.
In the position as a pioneer of the gas industry, we PV Gas believe that those proud achievements will encourage, and nourish the will of growth; energize each of us with strength and confidence to promote our internal force and steadily go forwards.
On behalf of PV Gas I call on affiliates and staff to strengthen solidarity, promote the creativity spirit at work, tap potentiality, continue promoting emulation movements, consensus and pioneer spirit, successfully fulfilling our 2013 tasks.
